引言(Introduction):
多元-平等-共融(Diversity-Equity-Inclusion,D.E.I.)
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives once surged in popularity across the United States and globally, with affirmative action—measures taken in the name of diversity—becoming a common approach for recruitment and admissions in government, businesses, and colleges. However, these efforts, designed to include disadvantaged groups and promote social equality, have faced a powerful social backlash in recent years. Particularly under the Trump administration and with the U.S. Supreme Court advocating for "colorblind equality," DEI and affirmative action have been nearly vilified as forms of racial discrimination. How will this trend develop in the U.S., and what insights can it offer Taiwan?
